I just noticed this post at Sim-Outhouse Mark 'Winding Man' Andrews has announced that phase 2/3 of the Over Flanders Field [OFF] add-on mod for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 [CFS3] will now be payware. The new combined phase 2/3 add-on will be called 'Over Flanders Fields: The Great Airwar' or OFF:TGA
The freeware phase 1 version of OFF has been reasonably successful and I would say that it would have sold quite few copies of CFS3 in the time since its release. It will be interesting to see what the guys do with the next phase and also the CFS community response to this announcement.

EDIT: As of Feb/March 2006 the OFF team have reverted to a donationware paradigm.

I frequent the Sim-Outhouse, and from what I have experienced they are not charging for a download of the OFF add on.
Parabola - if you look at the date in this post it is dated January 2006. This old archive news you are reading.
OFF were at that time going to go payware. They later changed their minds.
If you fully read the post you will see that I updated this post to reflect that in February/March 2006, almost 2 years ago.
Currently, as at February 2008, the forth coming OFF phase 3 is scheduled to be payware.
I frequent Sim-Outhouse too - I practically live there. LOL ;)
